- PINEY FLATS - Judy Erwin Barnes, 75, Piney Flats, passed away Friday, July 13, 2018 in the Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Howard Valentine & Myrtle Beatrice Buck Hinkle. She was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. Judy worked at UNIVAC, Bristol and also at Martin-Marietta in Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father Richard Erwin, Two brothers: William & Kenneth Hinkle and a grandson: Keith Goodman and a sister: Janie Lindamood. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her children: Julie Robinson & husband Marshall Robinson, Piney Flats and James Barnes & wife Connie Barnes, Bristol, Virginia. Five Grandchildren: Dylan, Justin, Brandy, Ben & Kaylee. Five Great Grandchildren. Her sisters: Janet Leonard Foster & husband William Foster and Jill Erwin, her brother-in-law: Ed Lindamood. Several well-loved nieces, nephews & cousins.
