SIDNEY SKYLES PERKINS
Sidney Skyles Perkins, 48, died in Grace Hospital at Banner Elk, after an illness of several weeks.
Mr. Perkins was a native of Carter County. He was a member of Elk River Baptist Church.
Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Laney Perkins, Route 2, Butler; one brother, Hosea Perkins, Butler; three sisters, Mrs. Lindy Gregg, Mrs. Lester Vandyke, Mrs. Hazel Richardson, all of Butler.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Elk River Baptist Church with Rev. Dayton Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Whitehead Cemetery.
The body will remain in the chapel of the Roy Hathaway Funeral Home until 12:00 o'clock Tuesday when it will be taken to the church.
