  	Frank Bunton was a deputy with the Johnson County, Tennessee Sheriffs Office for six years. He was shot and died in the line of duty. Frank Bunton was originally buried (1936) in Sugar Grove Cemetery #59-16, however, when the project of Watauga Lake was started by Tenn. Valley Authority, several of the cemeteries in that area had to be moved because they would flooded, affected by wave action or have no access to the cemetery. Some were moved to other locations but Franks was re-located (1947) to another section (#5) in Sugar Grove.
