- HAMPTON - Alberta Wilson Lilley, 93, Hampton, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 in Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Roan Mountain, she was a daughter of the late George Lee & Rosie McCoury Wilson. She was employed in earlier years at the American Bemberg Corporation, North American Rayon Corporation and retired from Texas Instruments. She attended Riverview Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carl H. Lilley, two sisters: Virginia Palmer and Mary Lou Winters and her brother: George Lee Wilson, Jr. She loved to cook for her many family members.
Survivors include her sister: Loretta Archer, Elizabethton. Also several nieces & nephews.
A Service to Celebrate the life of Alberta Lilley will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mark Grubb officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018 in the Johnson-Roan View Cemetery, Roan Mountain. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 12:20 p.m. Saturday will be: Adam Storie, Keith Morley, Rick Elliott, John Colbaugh, Rodney Payne and Theron Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Steven Cooper, Kevin Cooper and Andrew Colbaugh.
