- Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Lee Palmer, 78, 175 Coal Chute Road, Elizabethton, who died Sunday, April 8, 2001, will be conducted at 8
p.m. Tuesday, April 10, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. A.G. Wagner, the Rev. Jerry Honeycutt and the Rev. Bobby Stout officiating. The Victory Singers and Greg and Tammy Ruston will provide the music. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, at Johnson-Roan View Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, will be Jonathan Palmer, Jerome Powell, Jerald Powell, Jeffery Powell, Rodney Payne, Timmy Palmer, Jerry Tipton and Kelly Honeycutt. Honorary pallbearers will be the Staff of Housecall Hospice, Judy and Victor Deloach and the Staff of Ivy Hall Nursing Home, and members of Prayer Tabernacle. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the
funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of Johnny Palmer, 173 Coal Chute Road, Elizabethton, or at the residence of Eddie Dean Palmer, 106 Mount Vernon Place, Elizabethton. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Virginia Lee Palmer, 78, 175 Coal Chute Road, Elizabethton, died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home.Mrs. Palmer was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late George
and Rosie McCurry Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Bruce Palmer, July 14, 2000, a son, Harold Palmer, and two grandsons, Jamie and Todd Palmer.
