- Samuel Monroe Dugger, 100, of 2232 Unity Street, Ft. Myers, Florida, and formerly of Taylor County, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 1980 in Florida. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Green River Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, six daughters, eighteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Beaver Dam Baptist Church in Vilas, North Carolina with the Rev. Clyde Cornett officiating. Interment followed in the Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery.
