Callie M. Shoun. . .
Callie M. Shoun, age 93, Route 3, Mountain City, Doe Valley community, died en route to the Johnson City Memorial Hospital Thursday at 3:45 p.m. after a short illness. She was a native of Johnson County, widow of the late Andrew J. Shoun and daughter of the late Caleb and Rachel Sutherland Shoun. She was a member of the Doe Valley Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Verna Lowe, Mountain City and eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted from the Doe Valley Methodist Church Saturday at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Virgil Booher and Rev. Kenneth Kyker officiating. Burial was in the Shoun Cemetery. Pallbearers were friends and neighbors and flower bearers were ladies of the church and neighbors.
