- Julia Reece Edmisten, 101, of Sugar Grove, widow of Carl D Edmisten, died Wednesday morning, April 21, 1993 at her home.
She was born September 22, 1891, in the Beech Creek Community of Watauga County, a daughter of the late Isaac and Mary Church Reece. She was a member of Heaton Christian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, and one son. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lena Edmisten and a great-grandson, Mr. Kent Harmon.
Services were Friday afternoon at Beech Valley Baptist Church. Officiating were the Rev. Bill Warren and the Rev. Quincy Norris. Burial followed in the Beech Creek Community Church Cemetery.
