- AnnaMae Arnold, 80, 136 Arnold Ave., Elizabethton, died Monday,
November 1, 2004 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a brief
illness.
A native of Johnson County, she had lived most of her life in Carter
County.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas B. and Esther Bunton Campbell.
She was a homemaker and attended Siam Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Whitehead, and a brother,
Glen Campbell.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years of marriage, Rhudy Arnold;
three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Bill Ballard, Roan Mountain;
Glenda and Lide Steadman, Aiken, S.C.; Diane and Dr. Jack Presnell,
Bluff City; four sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Sue Arnold,
Paulina, La.; James and Ann Arnold, New Ellenton, S.C.; John and Jane
Arnold, Aiken, S.C.; Richard and Linda Arnold, Elizabethton; one brother
and sister-in-law, J.C. and Jeanette Campbell, Roan Mountian; one sister,
Wilma Lee, Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Betty Campbell,
Scottsboro, Ala.; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-
great-grandson; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 2,
2004 at Tetrick Funeral Home Riverside Chapel with Rev. Jack Roddy
officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. in the
funeral home chapel on Tuesday prior to the funeral service, or friends
may call at the residence 136 Arnold Ave., Elizabethton, any time. The
graveside service and burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday,
November 3, 2004 at Roselawn Memory Gardens, Johnson City. Those who plan
to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home
chapel at 10 a.m. on Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery. Active
pallbearers will be Jim Lovelace, Benny Lovelace, Jeff Arnold, Neal Arnold,
Joey Ballard and Brett Arnold. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jack Presnell,
Bill Ballard and Lide Steadman.
