- Charles Terry Burrow, 77, of Elizabethton, went to meet his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 23, 2017, from the Johnson City Medical Center. Charles (Terry) was born on November 23, 1940 in Carter County, Tenn., to the late Harry E. Burrow and Ossie Bare Burrow. He was preceded in death by Diana Jane Burrow; a niece, Debbie Kay Ensor; a nephew, Bill Deloach; and two brothers-in-law, Buddy Deloach and J.M. Peters.
Terry enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was retired from Inland Container, following 36 years of service, and was an active member of Bible Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Geraldine Smith Burrow, of the home; one son, Robert Burrow and wife Shawna; one daughter, Lisa Ann Burrow and fiancé, Charles Peters; four grandchildren, Brandon Collins and wife Brittany, Bryant Collins and wife Nikki, Ean Burrow and M'Lisa Burrow; three great-grandchildren, Arie Collins, Weston Collins and Brylee Collins; three sisters, Charlotte Deloach, Patsy Peters and Virginia Hodge and husband Lawrence; and one brother, Roger Burrow and wife Lisa. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Charles Terry Burrow will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, October 26, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Pastor Frank Osborne and Pastor Robert Burrow officiating. Music will be provided by Kathy Chambers and Debbie Bailey. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service. The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, October 27, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Brandon Collins, Bryant Collins, Ean Burrow, Michael Burrow, Jimmy Burrow, Jamie Peters, Jonathan Nidiffer, Richie Burrow, Russell Hodge and Jerry Milam. Honorary pallbearers will be friends and neighbors and members of Bible Baptist Church.
