- JOHNSON CITY - Ruth Evelyn Calhoun McCue, age 96 of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at her home.
She was a daughter of the late Harvey and Lizzie Gouge Calhoun, born to them on September 27, 1922 in Cranberry, North Carolina. She was a former member of the Grace Baptist Church, a current member at the Heritage Baptist Church, and was privileged to be in Gary Stocton's Sunday school class with many special people.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John McCue and her first husband, Ernest C. Lowe. She is also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Colleen Lowe.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Michael Lowe; Step-Son, Michael McCue (Michelle); Grandchildren: Matt and Megan McCue; Sister, Mary Sexton, and several nieces, nephews and special friends.
Funeral services for Ms. Ruth E. McCue will be conducted on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services of Johnson City with Dr. Allen Davis and Dr. Reggie Weems officiating. Burial will follow at the Monte Vista Memorial Park at 2:30 P.M. with family members and friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Walters and Gary Stocton.
