- JOHNSON CITY - Barbara Sue Grindstaff Allen, 71, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018 in Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Frank & Polly Ellison Grindstaff. She was a homemaker. Barbara was a member of Milligan Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers.
Survivors include of husband of 51 years: Jim Allen. A son & daughter-in-law: Chris & Sherry Allen, Johnson City. Her sister: Mary Brumitt, Elizabethton. Her brother & sister-in-law: Bill & Nancy Grindstaff, Johnson City. Several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Don Page officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2018 in the Lyons Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
