- JOHNSON CITY - Jane Teague Lawson of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away at her home on Friday, December 29, 2017 being 85 years of age.
She was born on June 5, 1932 in Butler, Tennessee to the late Jacob Lowe and the late Ruby Arnold Lowe. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two sons: William Ellis Teague and Douglas Hobart Teague and one brother: JL Lowe. Jane believed in the Baptist faith and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Gray. She enjoyed spending time with her dog Molly, traveling, or in her garden. She was a devoted Christian and truly loved getting to know peopleJane leaves behind to mourn her passing her husband: JR Lawson; two brothers: Charles Lowe and William Lowe and wife Carolyn; one sister Rosa Baker and husband Lewis; one granddaughter: Amanda Teague Davenport and husband Robert; one great-granddaughter: Ellis Monroe Davenport; Daughter-in-law: Sandra Davis Teague; two step-daughters: Jamie Upchurch and husband Randy and Pam Tisher and husband Doug; step-grandson: Steven Dunbar.
You are cordially invited to a time of visitation on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. until the funeral hour at 6:00 P.M. at East Lawn Funeral Home. A funeral service to commemorate the life of Jane Teague Lawson will be conducted on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 6:00 P.M. in the chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Sherrel Nave officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Garden of Apostle at East Lawn Memorial Park. William Lowe, Charles Lowe, Robert Davenport, Doug Tisher, Randy Upchurch and Steven Dunbar will be serving as pallbearers.
