- Carl Oscar Richardson, 86, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017, in the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Wiley & Annie Pearl Williams Richardson. Carl was retired from the Tennessee Chair Factory. In earlier years he loved to go camping and fishing. He was a member of the New Hope Church of Jesus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Sylvia Richardson and a brother: Steve Richardson.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years: Naomi Williams Richardson. Two sons: Rickey C. Richardson and wife Joyce, and Curtis E. Richardson, all of Elizabethton. A Grandson: Nicholas Green and a very special Great Grandson: Mason Green. A Sister: Florence Stevens, Johnson City. Three Brothers: Frankie and Elbert Richardson both of Elizabethton, and Harley Richardson, Johnson City. Several nieces & nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday in the Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastors Sandra & Jonny Ollis officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in the Pearl Bowers Cemetery. Music will be provided by Shelly Rodifer, Elijah Rodifer and Jerry Smith. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday will be: Jeremy Pierce, Brian Pierce, Justin Pierce, Nick Green, Josh Pierce, Chris Stevens, Kelvin Campbell and Mason Green.
