- JOHNSON CITY - Mary S. Sparks, 92, Johnson City, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, November, 24, 2017, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
She was a Carter Co. native and a daughter of the late Chester Arthur and Evelyn Milman Stout.
Mary was a homemaker and was a member of University Parkway Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. "Bob" Sparks in 2002; three sisters, Mattie Stout Depew, Sylvia Stout Begeant and Shirley Stout Morgan. She is survived by her son, Michael Sparks, Erwin and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to offer special thanks to Gwen Eades, Teresa Davis, Pat Shephard, Cora Cauble and Lena Vicendese.
The graveside funeral service will be conducted Friday, December, 1, 2017, at 2PM in Roselawn Memory Gardens.
