- Mandy Jane Perry, age 82, formerly of 112 9th Ave. SE, Hickory, NC wnet home to be with the Lord Saturday, April 30, 2005 in Hillview Health Center, Elizabethton following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Andy and Emma Williams. Mrs. Perry was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. S
She enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking for her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Butler Perry in 1965.
Survivors are six daughters and sons-in-law, Gladys and Boyd Holloway, Hickory, NC, Brenda and Daniel Potter, Roan Mountain, Joyce and Kirby Potter, Roan Mountain, Diane and Charles Evans, Mary and Gary Fowler, Charlene and Michael Beal, all of Hickory, NC, four sons and one daughter-in-law, Lonnie Perry, Jerry and Debbie Perry, Carl Perry, all of Hickory, NC, Roy and Mary Perry, Elizabethton, twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, two sisters, Ida Smith and Pauline Oliver, both of Elizabethton, and three brothers, Preston Williams, D. C. Williams, Ernest Williams, all of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service for Mrs. Perry will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2005 in the Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel of Peace with Rev. Bill Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday prior to the service in the chapel or at other times at the home of a son, Roy Perry, 326 Lovers Lane, Elizabethton.
The graveside service and interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2005 in Sunrise Cemetery, Bluff City.
