- Nan Roberts Brummitt, 80, of Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Erwin Health Care Center.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Bert and Cordie Simerly Roberts.
Nan was a graduate of Hampton High School and was an insurance agent for Independent Life for several years. She was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Brummitt and wife LeAnna, Hampton, and Jeff Brummitt, Elizabethton; a grandson, Justin Delph; three granddaughters, Maggie Brummitt, Michaela Brummitt and Kortnee Brummitt; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services Nan Roberts Brummitt will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, March 9, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Paul Seefelt officiating. The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, in the Captain Nelson Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
