- ELIZABETHTON - Lloyd Carroll Kyte, 76, Elizabethton passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 in the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Butler, he was a son of the late John Hamilton Kyte, Jr. & Georgia Anna Smith Kyte. He was a 1958 graduate of Happy Valley High School, he had a BS Degree in Health Education and an Associate Degree in Nursing from East Tennessee State University. He served in the United States Army. He was a retired RN at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Jack Kyte.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years: Sandra Treadway Kyte. His Brothers: Johnny Kyte, and Rick Kyte. His sisters: Brenda Lynn and Phyllis Gouge. His brothers-in-law: Turby Treadway and Curtis Lynn. Several nieces & One Nephew.
Graveside Service will be conducted at 10:45 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2017 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Burial will follow the service. Military Honors will be provided by the Carter County Honor Guard.
