- KANNAPOLIS — The Rev. Victor Lee Trivette, 88, of 1210 Desoto Ave., Kannapolis, died Monday, July 28, 2003, at NorthEast Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Charity Baptist Church, Kannapolis. The Rev. R.J. Hammond, the Rev. Curtis Parker, and the Rev. Fenton Jones will officiate. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Charity Baptist Church. At other times the family will receive friends at the home. Born Aug. 26, 1914, in Watauga County, he was the son of the late Maston P. Trivette and Nettie Mast Trivette. He was a retired Baptist minister having pastored for almost 60 years at 27 various churches in eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina, including Young Memorial Baptist, Roberta Baptist, Central Baptist, Eastwood Baptist and Odell Baptist churches here in the Cabarrus County region. He was preceded in death by his first wife Ruby (Sally) Trivette, who died in 1996. Survivors include his 2nd. wife, Pansy Wensil Trivette; two sons, Gary Trivette and wife Lin, of Spring Hill, Fla., and Howard Trivette and wife Kay, of Concord; one brother, Earl Trivette, of Rominger; one sister, Ruby Presnell, of North Wilkesboro; one stepson, Doug Simpson and wife Rhonda, of Concord; one stepdaughter, Jeanette Leigh and husband, Houston, of Concord; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-granchildren.
