- Thomas "Joe" Estep, age 62, formerly of Hudson, NC, passed away Monday, March 26, 2007 in Camelot Manor Nursing Facility, Granite Falls, NC following an extended illness. He was a native of Avery County, NC and a son of the late Will and Ora Trivette Estep. Mr. Estep had attended Beech Mountain Baptist Church. He was formerly employed in furniture manufacturing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Rosie Greene, Marie Mitchell and Margaret Estep and one brother, William Creed Estep. Survivors are his wife, Shirley Ollis Estep, Hudson, NC, one daughter, Kimberly Estep, Lenoir, NC, one grandson, Christopher Estep, one granddaughter, Katie Carty, both of Lenoir, NC, four sisters and one brother-in-law, Jean and Herman Guy, Hudson, NC, Gerry Stout, Butler, TN, Ruth Ollinger, Johnson City, TN, Anna Lee Driscoll, Manchester, MI, and three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Ronald and Roberta Estep, Barker, NY, Jim and Denise Estep ,KY. And Barney Trivette, Johnson City, Several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Mr. Estep will be conducted on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. Dean Estep, Minister, officiating. Interment will follow in McGuire Cemetery, Elk Park, NC. Active pallbearers will be chosen from Family and friends. The Family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Saturday, prior to the service. Friends may also call at the home of his sister, Gerry Stout, 405 Poga Rd., Butler, TN
