Mr. Lennie Earl Trivette, 79, of Rominger Road, Banner Elk, died Sunday morning, May 8, 2005, at his home.
He was born Sept. 24, 1925 in Watauga County, a son of Maston and Nettie Mast Trivette.
Mr. Trivette was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He retired from food services at ASU and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Glenn Trivette; three daughters, Faye Watson and husband, Roy, of Fleetwood, Mary Stines and husband, Johnny, of Banner Elk and Della Trivette of Roan Mountain, Tenn.; three sons, Bennie Trivette and wife, Connie, Wayne Trivette and Paul Trivette and wife, Ruth, all of Banner Elk; one sister, Ruby Trivette of Wilkesboro; and twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Floy Warren; and five brothers, Victor, Raymond, George, Conley and Don Trivette.
Services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Antioch Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Carl Wilson and the Rev. David Testerman. The body will lie in state at the church from 1-2 p.m. Military graveside rites and burial will follow at the Ward-Glenn Cemetery.
