- She was the daughter of the late W.L. and Elva Allen Nave. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph J. Baird and one brother, Carson R. Nave.
Mrs. Baird was a member of Sinking Creek Baptist Church where she and her husband were long-time treasurers of the church.
Mrs. Baird was an avid rose gardener and a member of the Watauga Valley Rose Society.
The funeral service was conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 2004, in the Sunrise Chapel, Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City.
The committal and burial service were held at Happy Valley Memorial Park, Friday, August 20, 2004 at 10 a.m.
