- ELIZABETHTON - Edna Louise Fair Johnson, 82, Elizabethton, passed away Monday March 13, 2017 in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late James Slagle & Hildred Pauline Nidiffer Fair. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Byrl Johnson who passed away, September 12, 1995, by a sister: Emma Lou Houk and two brothers: Edward Eugene Fair and Perry Fair. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include four children: Judy M. Campbell & husband David, Ted D. Johnson & wife Gail, Mildred L. Loveless & husband Bobby and Joe D. Johnson & wife Lois. Four Grandchildren: Robert Campbell & wife Jarilyn, Misty A. Branch & husband Joshua, Amy E. Huskins & Husband Brent and Crystal G. Durbin & husband Randy. Nine Great Grandchildren. Two Sisters: Martha Cox & husband Paul and Janice Stout & husband Earl, all of Elizabethton. Several nieces & nephews.
Graveside Service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017 in the Highland Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Johnson and Rev. Tommy Collins officiating. Burial will follow the service. Active Pallbearers will be: Kenny, Kenneth and Robert Campbell, Josh Branch, Paul Cox, Jr., Randy Durbin and Brent Huskins.
