- Mrs. Betty Jane Crum, 68, of Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Johnson City Medical Center. She was born in Elizabethton, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Flora Mae Mayse Bowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Russell, and two brothers, Charles Bowers Jr. and Raymond Rosenbaum.
Mrs. Crum was a member of God's House Full Gospel Church and was a Christian lady with a loving heart who loved to read her Bible. She was a loving wife and sister also.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 22 years, Ray Crum, of the home; a sister, Cora Bell Greenwell, Elizabethton; and two nieces, Melissa Miller and Pam Tester, both of Elizabethton. Several other nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
A service to honor the life of Mrs. Crum will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 3, in the Chapel of Peace, Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Pastor Jerry Davis and Pastor Kim Casey officiating. Music will be under the direction of Pastor Kim Casey. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service. The graveside service will follow the funeral service at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
