- Roscoe died of TB contracted while serving in France during WWI. He was taken to the "Solder's Home" (VA hospital) in Johnson City, then the family brought him home to a cabin on the hill built years earlier by brother-in-law, Will Coleman, where he and his mother, Anne, lived the rest of his life.
