Most knew him as a jokester who loved to tease his friends.

Campbell and his wife, Jeanette, Roan Mountain; his step-mother, Thelma Lovelace, Johnson City; a special sister-in-law, Sheila Culbert and Kevin Shaw, Jonesborough; a brother-in-law, John Elrod, Johnson City; nieces, Amy Elrod, Autumn Carter, Elizabeth Lovelace, and Karen Jo Matherly; nephews, Zach and Clint Lovelace; great-niece and great-nephew, Haley and Isaiah Elrod; and his loving companions, his dogs, Corben and Chloe.
The family would like to extend a very special thanks to the nurses and doctors of the ICU Dept. of the JCMC, and all his many special friends that were more like a brother to him including, but most certainly not limited to, Johnny Johnson, Donnie Davis, Billy Jack Cowan, and Gerald Jones.
