- Linda S. Brown age 70 of Mountain City, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday April 26, 2017 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a brief illness, with her children by her side. She was born to Earl and Louise McQueen Shull on August 26, 1946 in Doc. Glenn's clinic in Mountain City. She was the fourth of five children. She grew up on a farm in the Neva Community. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was an assistant Sunday-Preschool teacher for the past 25 years. She enjoyed traveling, working in her daylilies, shopping for shoes, talking with her friends, the Tennessee Volunteers (Go Big Orange), and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her favorite color was purple.
She proudly represented Samaritan's Purse twice in Alaska assisting Veterans and their families with Operation Heal Our Patriots. She was recently learning how to text and take selfies on her new Smart Phone.
