- Elizabeth W. Bowers, 79, East Cottage Avenue, Elizabethton, died Friday, June 6, 2003, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Bowers was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late George and Laura Oliver Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Monroe Bowers, in 1979, a son, Ervin Denver Bowers, a great-granddaughter, Karrissa Setzer, and by several brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Bowers was of the Baptist faith.
BOWERS -- Funeral services for Elizabeth W. Bowers, 79, East Cottage Avenue,
Elizabethton, who died Friday, June 6, 2003, will be conducted at 7 p.m.
Sunday, June 8, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home with the Rev.
Eric Eggers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home
from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. Graveside services and
interment will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 9, in the Bowers Cemetery.
