- Marjorie Snow Caraway, 62, Rt. 1, Newland, N.C. (Minneapolis Community), died Tuesday, January 5, 1999, at Sloop Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Caraway was a native of Avery County, N.C., and a daughter of the late Eugene and Tempie Shook Eggers. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Charlotte Cole and Alice Tester, and a brother, Dale Joe Eggers. Mrs. Caraway was a nurse. Survivors include her husband, Ben Hayden Caraway, of the home; a daughter, Karen Howell, Wilmington, N.C.; a son, Mickey Caraway, Newland, N.C.; three sisters, Etta Davis and Mary Lou Eggers, both of Valle Crucis, N.C., and Betty Faye Hughes, Roan Mountain; and four brothers, Jack Eggers and Buster Eggers, both of Lexington, N.C., Claude Eggers, Matney, N.C., and Fred Eggers, Boone, N.C. Three grandchildren also survive.
CARAWAY -- Funeral services for Marjorie Snow Caraway, 62, Rt. 1, Newland, N.C. (Minneapolis Community), who died Tuesday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday from the Grandfather Chapel of Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Beers and Rev. Brown Howell officiating. Interment will follow at 10 a.m. Friday in the Caraway Cemetery, Elk Park, N.C.
