- Mrs. Celia Amanda Hazlewood (Aunt Mandy), 74, died at her home, Route 2, Hampton, Tuesday morning at 1:30 after a short illness. Mrs. Hazlewood was a member of the Union Baptist Church. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. John Miller, Route 2, Hampton; four grandchildren, Mrs. [?]Peer Lane, Hampton, Mrs. Christine Clark, Route 2, Roan Mountain, Edgar Miller, Route 4, Elizabethton, Charles Hazlewood, Route 2, Roan Mountain; seven great-grandchildren; six brothers, Irvin Goodwin, Peotone, Ill., Melvin Goodwin, Pomona, California, Elbert Goodwin, Atlanta, Ga., S. N. Goodwin, Seattle, Washington, Joseph Goodwin, Seattle, Washington, Cleve Goodwin, Hampton; three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Campbell, Mrs. Rhoda Morton, Mrs. Isabell Cardin, Hampton. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:30 from the Union Baptist Church with the Rev. W. W. War, the Rev. Charlie Campbell and the Rev. George Westmoreland officiating. Music will be under the direction of the church choir. Burial will be in the Goodwin Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be the nephews. Flower bearers will be the nieces.
