- Dora Dyson, 81, Damascus, Virginia, died Tuesday, January 11, 2000 at the Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Virginia. She was a native of Johnson County, Tennessee, a daughter to the late Nat and Molly Jenkins and had lived in Damascus, Virginia for the past 40 years. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include two daughters, three sons, two sisters, Annis Winters and Louise Duvall, one brother, George Jenkins.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, January 13, 2000 at 2 p.m. in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Warren Wilson and Rev. Frank Woods officiating. Burial followed in Sunset Memorial Park. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
