MRS. MARY TREADWAY
Mrs. Mary Treadway, 81, died at her home, 700 Beech street, Saturday afternoon after a short illness. Mrs. Treadway was the widow of the late John B. Treadway, who preceded her in death several years ago. Both were prominent citizens of Carter county.
Funeral services will be conducted from the M. E. Church, North, Monday afternoon at two o'clock, the Rev. W. K. Harris, the Rev. E. Bishop and the Rev. Clarence Howington officiating. Mrs. Treadway was a member of the Methodist church.
Interment will be in the Smith Cemetery.
Mrs. Treadway is survived by one sister, Mrs. Cottrell Ashley; two brothers, J. A. Smith and Bowman Smith, all of Elizabethton; a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers and flowerbearers[sic] will be selected from the nieces and nephews.
