JAMES FAIR, 15, DIES FROM INJURIES HE RECEIVED AT PLAY
James Fair, 15-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. John Fair, East street, succumbed last night at six o'clock in a local hospital from injuries received Sunday afternoon while out playing.
Young Fair, with several playmates, was sliding near the reservoir Sunday afternoon. He struck a stick, which passed through the rectum into the intestines. An emergency operation was performed on Monday.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Freewill Baptist church Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, with the Rev. Clarence Howington officiating. Interment will be in the Hyder Cemetery.
Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John H. Fair; three brothers, Jess Willard, John Paul, and James Robert Fair; his grandmother, Mrs. M. M. Blackburn, and grandfather, James H. Fair; also five aunts and three uncles.
