- Lula Bell "Lou" Deloach Frazier, 76, of Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord, Thursday, October 26, 2017, after a battle with cancer.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Bill and Mae Lipford Deloach.
Lou was a retired cook at Happy Valley High School. Lou loved her family, grandchildren and her church and loved doing woodwork and working in her garden. She was a member of Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Washington Frazier, who died November 21, 2007; a sister, Julie Carr; and three brothers, Buddy, Cliff and Herbert Deloach.
Survivors include her children, Karen Applegate and husband Bill and David Bryant and wife Melissa, all of Elizabethton; six grandchildren, Dustin Bryant, Chad Bryant, Jamie Carpenter, Kristen Campbell, Cassie Lowe and Travis Bates; five great-grandchildren, Dayton Whitehead, Cassidy Carpenter, Jayce Lowe, Callie Lowe and Caden Bryant; her sisters, Ruby Morton, Betty Stevens and JoAnn; several nieces and nephews; and two special sisters-in-law, Loretta Deloach and Charlotte Deloach.
Funeral services for Lula Bell "Lou" Deloach Frazier will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, October 29, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Randy Johnson and the Rev. Mark Potter officiating. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Michael Carpenter, Dustin Bryant, Chad Bryant, Travis Bates, Bill Applegate, Johnny Vines, Robert Campbell, Jack Whitehead, Dayton Whitehead and Jackson Lowe. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Bates, Robert Carr, Herman Carr, Shannon Whitehead and R.L. Potter. The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to the staff of Amedisys Hospice, Johnny Vines, whom she thought of as a second son, Jack and Teresa Whitehead and family, Charlotte Hodge and Sue Hyde for all the help during Lou's illness.
