- Martha Glenda Kay Trivette Brush, 69, of Morristown, Tenn., passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Johnson City Medical Center, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness. Martha was born in Carter County, Tenn., a daughter of the late Elmer Trivette and Rana Dugger Trivette. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Henson, and her brothers, Boyd Trivette, David Potter and Mike Trivette. Martha was a homemaker and a member of Piney Grove Christian Church in the Poga Community of Butler. She was a wonderful wife, mother, aunt and friend, and will be missed by all that knew her. Martha loved her cats as her family. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Richard Brush, of the home; her daughters, Lisa Brush and Heather Hawkins and husband John; her brothers, Dale Potter and Bob Trivette; a special niece, Shelia Loudermilk and husband Mike; her great-nephew, Justin Loudermilk; her brother-in-law, Charles Henson; her sisters-in-law, Peggy Kenney-Windsor and husband Bill and their family of Ontario, Canada, and Barbara Kien and family of Royal Oak, Mich.; her special cousins, Barbara Nunley, Ricky Harmon, Margaret Ward, Blanche Lambert Williams, Arbeulah Lambert and Beatrice Montgomery; and her special friend, Wilma Guy Henthorne. A service to honor the life of Mrs. Martha Glenda Kay Trivette Brush will be conducted at noon Saturday, January 9, at the Piney Grove Church of Christ, in the Poga Community, with Mr. Dean Estep, minister, officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mr. Carl Cable. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 8, in the Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, or at the residence of her brother-in-law, Charles Henson, at anytime. Mr. Steve Hilman will provide a special prayer at the receiving of friends. The graveside service will follow in the Piney Grove Church of Christ Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Henson, Mike Loudermilk, Justin Loudermilk, Dexter Lunceford, Richard Lunceford and Ricky Harmon.
