Clyde was born on March 13, 1914, in Johnson County to the late Stanley and Ollie Davis Cress. He was a retired carpenter and master woodworker. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed. He was a member of Liberty Christian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Allen Cress; three sisters, Myrtle Davis, Pauline Cress and Ella Mae Osborne; and five brothers, Emmet, Laymon, Azel, Bobby and Henry Cress.
