- Mr. L.B. Ward, 74, of Mims Street, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 1997, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, Aiken.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Winfield Heights Baptist Church with the Revs. David Stover and Tommy Hutto officiating.
Mr. Ward, a native of Carter County, Tenn., retired from the construction transportation department of E.I. DuPont at Savannah River Plant. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Winfield Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Rainbolt Ward; two sons, Lloyd B. Ward, Williston, and Arthur Jann Ward, Gilbert; four daughters, Sharon W. Moody, Jo W. Owens, Edie W. Richardson and Elaine W. Boyleston, all of Williston; two brothers, Stanley Ward, Sorrento, Fla., and Lewis Ward, Hampton, Tenn.; two sisters, Edith W. Moody and Dorothy W. Ward, both of Elizabethton, Tenn.; and nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
