- John D. Rainbolt Sr., 70, of Tallmadge, died suddenly on Aug. 13, 2004 at Akron City Hospital.John was born Dec. 18, 1933 in Butler, Tenn. John retired from Ford Motor Co. after 30 years of service and belonged to the First Baptist Church of Tallmadge. He was an avid golfer and gardener.Preceded in death by his father and mother, David and Ethel Rainbolt; brother, Charles "Bud" Rainbolt; brothers-in-law, Mark Shaw, L.B. Ward and Jim White. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Louise; son, John David Jr. (Joani); daughter, Carmen (J.R.) Campbell; his grandchildren whom he loved, Stacie, Tyler and Alyssa; sisters, Mary Alice Shaw, Ruth (Ralph) Williams, Fran Ward, Nancy (Fred) Jenkins, Jane (Ronnie) Miller, Brenda Matherly, Sue (Bart) Smith; in-laws, Gene and Mary Riddle; many loving nieces and nephews; good neighbor, Jess Taylor; and many friends."May the Lord bless and keep you John." Friends may call TODAY from 4 to 8 p.m. at Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral services will be held Monday at the First Baptist Church of Tallmadge, 848 Southeast Ave. Interment will follow at Tallmadge Cemetery.
