- He was the son of the late Eli and Bertha Brumit Trivett. Mr. Trivett was also preceded in death by two wives, Orlia Trivett and Ilene Campbell Trivett; one brother, Elbert Trivett and four sisters, Nell Melenson, Ethel Trivett, Maude Trivett and Ella Mae Gee.
Mr. Trivett was retired from the military as a Chief Master Sargeant with the U.S. Air Force after 24 years of service. He served during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Era. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star.
Mr. Trivett was a member, former deacon and choir member of the Grace Baptist Church, Elizabethton. He was a member of Dashiell Masonic Lodge #238.
Funeral services were conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, December 18, 2003 in the Grace Baptist Church.
Graveside services and interment were held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 19, 2003 in Happy Valley Memorial Park.
