Notes |
- From Connie (Fox) Seibert:
He served in the Confederate Army
Enlisted July 26 1861, with his brothers, Sewell, and Benjamin "Franklin"
Company G, NC 29th Inf. Reg.
Mustered out April 10, 1862
He died of consumption while serving as a soldier during the Civil War, at Cumberland Gap, TN
I am sure he is buried here, although no marker has been found.
His two brothers, Sewell and Benjamin Franklin, who also got sick while serving in the Civil War and died are buried beside each other. Grave markers are found for Benjamin Franklin, and Sewell, but none has been found for Zephaniah.
