- Margie Vandeventer Boling, age 82, formerly of Bluff City went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Hermitage Health Center in Elizabethton. She was born in Carter County, TN, a daughter of the late Luther and Victoria Ritchie Vandeventer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Boling; a brother Eugene Vandeventer and a sister Mareen Bowman.
Margie was a member of Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and liked decorating and writing poems.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Crumley and husband Michael of Johnson City and Kathy Collins and husband, Mike of Elizabethton; two sons, Gary Boling and wife Sonja of Bluff City and Johnny Boling and wife Christina of Athens, GA; five grandchildren, Bryan Boling, Cody Collins and wife Juliana, Bruce Crumley, Joshua Boling and Jordan Boling; three sisters-in-law, Geraldine Vandeventer, Georgia Lee Lyons and Ethel Boling and one brother-in-law, Charles Boling.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Hermitage Health Center and Caris Health Care for their loving care.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Friday, November 21, 2014 in the chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Bluff City with Rev. Tony French officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm prior to the service in the chapel. The graveside service and interment will follow in Sunrise Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Bryan Boling, Cody Collins, Bruce Crumley, Joshua Boling, Michael Crumley and Mike Collins.
