- ELIZABETHTON — Ruth M. Wilson, 85, Elizabethton, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at her residence following an extended illness.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Ora & Sallie Buckles Nave. Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker and a former Cook at Unaka High School. She loved cooking for her family and working in her flowers. She was a member of Stoney Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ora Dale Wilson; three brothers, Snyder, Ray & Arthur Nave; and three sisters, Ailene Nave, Juanita Fair; an infant sister; and Rosa.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Conway "JC" Wilson; her children, Kennetha Marshall, Johnson City and Gary (Sharon) Wilson, Kingsport; three grandchildren, Kimberly Buck, Ericka Marshall and Kasey Duncan; three great grandchildren, Chase Buck, Kaelyn Duncan and Keaton Duncan; one sister, Phyllis Gouge, Johnson City; several nieces & nephews; special "sister" Geraldine Grindstaff; and special "cousin" Charlotte Farrington.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2016, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Nathan Jennings officiating. Entombment Services will be conducted in the Mausoleum of Peace, Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be: Keith Lyons, Fonz Cecil, Montie Lyons, Chase Buck, Steve Lowe, Matt McCamy, Alex Carr and Chuck Milam. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Raymond Jenkins and Tim Robey.
The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to the Staff of Amedisys Hospice for the great care they give to her and a special "Thank You" to Emily White.
