- Julia J. McKeehan, 81, of Rt. 4, Elizabethton, died at her home at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday following an extended illness.
Miss McKeehan was a native of Carter county and a daughter of the late John M. and Almeda Barrier McKeehan. She was a member of the Oak Grove Christian Church.
Survivors are seven nieces: Miss Wilma McKeehan, with whom she made her home' Mrs. Wanda Adams, Mrs. Maxine Little and Mrs. Mildred Rhea, all of Elizabethton,; Mrs. Dorothy Clement, Cheyenne, Who.; Miss Leota Brummitt and Miss Evelyn Brummitt, both of Rt. 2, Johnson City; three nephews: Roy L. McKeehan, Bristol, Va.; Wayne Livingston, Unicoi, and Ralph Livingston, Elizabethton.
Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
McKEEHAN--Funeral services for Julia J. McKeehan, 81, of Rt. 4, Elizabethton, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Douglas Hardin, Minister, officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mrs. Georgia Cox, organist, and Lewis Garrison, soloist. Burial will be in Happy Valley Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers: Jimmy Livingston, Bobby Livingston, Danny Little, Lynn Adams, Gary Rhea and Kenneth Sharett. Flowerbearers will be friends and neighbors.
The body will remain in the funeral home chapel where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Friends may call at the chapel and at the home anytime.
