- Lucille Guinn Collins, 85, of Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019, surrounded by her family. Lucille was born November 16, 1933 to the late Claude and Rachel Puckett Guinn. She attended Elizabethton High School, was a member of East River Park Christian Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas Puckett, Mack Guinn and L.D. Guinn, and the father of her children, Billy Collins.
Survivors include her two sons, Jackie Collins (Tami) and Bobby Collins (Connie), both of Elizabethton; eight grandchildren, Davey Collins (Tara), Dustin Collins (Lindsey), Jacquelyn Collins, Macy Collins, Brandon Collins (Brittany), Bryant Collins (Nikki), Bud Hicks and Chase Frye Austin (Katie); nine great-grandchildren, Tyler, Katlyn, Logan, Emmie, Aubrey, Ariana, Weston, Brylee and Oaklyn; five siblings, Pauline McKinney, Erma Stevens (Roy Forbes), Ed Guinn (Dean), Louise Whitehead (Carmon) and Rosie Lewis (Gordon); and two sisters-in-law, Audrey Puckett and Ruby Guinn.
A service to honor the life of Lucille Guinn Collins will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, in the Chapel of Peace, Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Pastor Estel Williams and Pastor Doug Hinshaw officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m., prior to the service, and at other times at the residence of her son, Bobby Collins. The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, in the Pearl Bowers Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Davey Collins, Dustin Collins, Brandon Collins, Bryant Collins, Bud Hicks, Jordan Clark and Chase Frye Austin.
