- Simon DeLoach enlisted in the US Army when he was 27 years old on 21 Nov 1814. He served in the 39th Infantry Regiment until the end of his enlistment on 20 Nov 1819. He was discharged from the Army at Fort Scott, Georgia. He received a pension for his service. His enlistment record shows that he was 5' 8" tall, had hazel eyes and sandy colored hair with a fair complexion. Before enlisting, he was a farmer in Pitt County, North Carolina.
In the 1830 Dickson County, TN Census, he is listed as 40-50 years old, with a wife of the same age. They had two children, a son 15-20 years old, and a daughter 5-10 years old.
In the 1840 Dickson County, TN Census, Simon and his wife are 50-60 years old, and their children are 15-20.
There was a marriage in Dickson County on 14 March 1840 between John M. Biter and Jennette March.
On 13 July 1848, Ginette Biter married Simon Deloach. It is assumed that John M. Biter died before 1848.
