- Frances D. Walker, 76, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Walker was a Washington County native and daughter of the late Oscar and Mable Ledwell Furches.
She was a Boones Creek High School graduate.
Mrs. Walker once owned a boutique in South Carolina before moving back to Tennessee. Also, Mrs. Walker worked several years for the civil service.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Walker was an avid reader.
Special thank you to all staff on the 5th floor of the Johnson City Medical Center, and also all staff at Life Care Center of Gray.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Walker.
Survivors include: four sisters, Elsie Ketron, Elizabeth Huffine, Joan Edwards and Barbara Faye Williamson; one brother, Paul Authur Furches; and several nieces and nephews.
The family of Frances Walker will meet at Morris-Baker Funeral Home Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 12:00 PM to go in procession to Liberty Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery for 1:00 PM graveside services.
