- Maggie R. Deloach, 80, 608 Locust Street, Lot 31, Elizabethton, died Monday, April 10, 2000, at Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mrs. Deloach was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late E.T. "Doc" and Arwilda Williams Deloach. She was also preceded in death by a son, Johnny Whitehead, in 1998, three sisters, four brothers and a great-grandson.
Mrs. Deloach attended Friendship Free Will Baptist Church of Hampton. She was a former employee of Big B Restaurant.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Richard Sheek, Cleveland, N.C., and Wilma and Charles Lyons, Elizabethton, and a brother, Albert Deloach, Hampton. Twelve grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
DELOACH -- Funeral services for Maggie R. Deloach, 80, 608 Locust Street,
Lot 31, Elizabethton, who died Monday, April 10, 2000, will be conducted at
8 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, in the Autumn Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home
with Rev. Todd Fields officiating. Graveside services and interment will
be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 13, at Rittertown Baptist Church Cemetery,
Hampton, with special music to be provided by John Wyatt, bagpiper, step-
great-grandson. Active pallbearers will be George Smith, D.C. Simerly, Lewis
Honeycutt, Jerry Young, Howard Julian and Eddie Deloach. Honorary pallbearers
will be Pat Scalf, Laura Clark and Till Deloach Lyons. Everyone will meet
at the cemetery at 11:25 a.m. Thursday for the graveside service. The family
will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Autumn Chapel
of Tetrick Funeral Home. Friends may also call at the home of a
granddaughter, Joy Harrell, 4th Street, Hampton, or at the home of her
brother, Albert Deloach, 163 Swimming Pool Road, Hampton, any time.
