- Dessiree H. Maupin, 85, formerly of 1110 King Springs Road, Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton.
Mrs. Maupin was a native of Carter County and had lived most of her life in Johnson City. She was a daughter of the late Harrison and Eliza Holloway Hardin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Maupin, in 1979; three sisters, Verna Hardin, Carsey Hardin and Wanda Lyons; five brothers, Dana, Chocy, Smith, Chester and Warren Hardin; a grandson, Ronnie Lynn Maupin; and one great-grandson.
Mrs. Maupin was retired from North American Rayon Corporation, Elizabethton, and was a member of the Johnson City Freewill Baptist Church.
