- Mrs. Willa Mae Bellamy, age 77, of Johnson City, passed away, October 22, 2013.
She was born in Cranberry, North Carolina and had been a resident of Johnson City since 1974. She was the daughter of the late George C. and Mamie Tolley Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 55 years, Everett "Tom" Bellamy; three brothers, Donald Thompson, Emil Thompson and James Thompson; three sisters, Gladys Thompson, Minnias Pritchard, and Sandra Trent; and one grandson, Michael Craig Bellamy.
After her retirement from Walmart, Willa enjoyed leisure time with family and traveling. Mrs. Bellamy was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Elizabethton, TN.
Survivors include two sons, Mike, and wife Debbie, of Clewiston, FL and Dave, and wife Lizz, of Johnson City, TN; three granddaughters, Stacy Bellamy, Rachel Bellamy Alonso, and husband Christian, and Andrea Bellamy; two sisters, Margie Boyd and Gail Christian; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, October 31, 2013 in the Morris Baker Funeral Home South Chapel with funeral services to follow. Pastors Tim Boyd and Nathan Jennings will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 10 AM Friday, November 1, 2013 in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Bill Trent, Christian Alonso, Mac Casteel, Randy Hyder, Joe Campbell, and Gary Chapman. Ministers, family and friends are requested to be at the funeral home by 9:15 AM Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. -
