C. G. SHOUN ...
... 73, prominent farmer of Doe Valley community, died at his home last Saturday at 9 a.m. He was a member of the Doe Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie Stout Shoun; four daughters, Mrs. Jack C. Murphy, Atlanta, Ga.; Miss Frances Shoun, Nashville; Mrs. Joe B. Osborne, and Mrs. E. H. Robinson, both of Mountain City; and two sons, Carl H. Shoun, Chattanooga, and Frank C. Shoun, Mountain City.
Also surviving are one brother, C. Kemp Shoun, Mountain City; two sisters, Mrs. Andy Shoun and Miss Emma Shoun, both of Mountain City; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church, with Rev. Holbert Randall, Rev. Tom Worley, and Rev. Theodore Robinson officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery.
Hill Funeral Home is charge.
